Busy, busy, busy....

Between a trip down south to attend my Grandpa's funeral and my sister in law's wedding, these last few weeks have been filled with emotional highs and lows.

It was great being able to spend time with my family in LA and reflect on the wonderful memories we shared with my incredible grandpa. We looked through hundred of pictures they had in albums of my brothers and me. Fishing trips, camping trips, going to the zoo, swimming, pony rides, bike rides, birthday parties, Easter egg hunts with my grandma dressed as the Easter bunny, Christmas Eve with my grandpa dressed as Santa, sleepovers, square dancing(not kidding on this one...haha), baseball games, painting, Sea World, Disneyland, trips to the beach, soooooo many pictures.... so many memories.... so many reasons to feel happy that I was blessed with the most incredible grandparents who have ever existed. I miss him everyday, but I am glad that he was able to see me become a mom and see his beautiful great-grandbabies. They are lucky to have had him in their life too :) Even if it was only for a little while.

One the other side of the emotional spectrum, my beautiful sister in law, Lauren, got married last Saturday!!! Holla! Girl is on her honeymoon as we speak :) Can't wait to see her and hear (some) details ;) Lauren was gorgeous, the ceremony was gorgeous, the reception was gorgeous, everything about the day was spectacular. Can't wait to see pictures from the photographer because I was an airhead and forgot the card for my camera :( <-- In case you didn't see that sad face, it's a SUPER sad face. Bummed I didn't get any pics of the big day.

Since Saturday, the kids and I have been trying to get back on track and enjoy the sunshine. Here are a few pics of my cute kiddos playing at the park. Love their sweet face and everything about them. They're pretty dang perfect.

One last thing..... BIG changes are coming to the Clegg family in the near future. Stay tuned for another announcement soon...maybe.

And, no, I am not pregnant :)

Disneyland!

In 38 days we are heading to DISNEYLAND, people! The crazies in our house can hardly contain their excitement…. queue Liv’s crazy face, dance, squeal, shake, etc. etc. etc.

I am fortunate enough to have married into an awesome family with incredible people, so we’re going with a couple of Steve’s cousins and their families. All in all there will be 6 adults and 8 kids spending a week at the happiest place on earth :)

I will definitely post pics when we return, but until then, the countdown begins……

Olivia
I made this little Disney countdown for Liv. She’s already crossed one off :) Love her.

Here is a sweet video of my precious little angels. I can’t believe they’re growing up so fast.

Warm Weather

Today was warm and sunny, so the kids and I enjoyed some time outside riding bikes, eating lunch, drawing with chalk, crawling(Brody B), and relaxing(Mommy). We love days like these! Both kids deciding to take a nap…at the same time… is just icing on the cake. Ahh, heaven! If only Daddy were here to partake in this daily goodness :)

December Festivities

December was an incredible month. We were able to cram a whole lot of fun into a short amount of time. Here’s a quick recap of what we were up to:

  • December 3rd- Olivia performed in her first dance recital and was an ornament in, The Grinch. She basically just stood there. She decided to actually participate for the last 8 count of her routine. Steve bought her a beautiful bouquet of flowers and, afterwards, we took her to Sonic for french fries and a milkshake. So. Worth. It.
  • December 23rd- We went with Steven’s family to Windsor for the night. We drove into San Francisco and went to dinner at the Hard Rock CafĂ© on Pier 39. After dinner, we checked out the seals. They were trying to snooze and were ticked that we were intruding on their quiet time. I swear there was one seal ready to charge the pier.
  • December 24th- We spent part of the morning in Windsor. Steve and I enjoyed some time in the hot tub away from the little people. We went to Steve’s aunt’s house for Christmas Eve dinner. It was fun to be with the Sanchez family! That night we were visited by the jolly man himself. Yup, you heard that right. Santa made a little visit to Grandma and Grandpa Clegg’s house. Olivia couldn’t have been more excited! She squealed and bounced around the room! Noah was in shock and I’m pretty sure was expecting Santa to tell him that he was on the “naughty list.” Both of their reactions were priceless. Santa gave them each special Christmas Eve jammies and a candy cane filled with m&m’s. After Santa left we ran outside and saw Rudolf fly off into the night sky.
  • December 25th- Christmas morning was perfect! Liv ran downstairs with all the excitement she could muster at 6 o’clock in the morning! She was so happy that Santa came and shared her joy with everyone. We quickly ate sourdough waffles and rushed to get ready for church. Olivia and Brody looked darling in their Christmas outfits. The program was lovely and we were able to focus on the true meaning of Christmas. After church, we went back to Steven’s parent’s house to open our family presents. We had a wonderful day and enjoyed spending time with family.
  • New Years Eve- We met up with a few of Steven’s cousins at his cousin Eddie’s home. Eddie works at the State Capitol as a CHP officer and was able to take us on top of the Capitol building to watch the fireworks in Old Town Sac. It was an amazing experience. Afterwards, we went back to Eddie and Camellia’s house to officially ring in the New Year. We celebrated with Martinelli’s and party poppers! Playing The Last Word finished the evening’s festivities. We had such a great night!
