Olivia turned 2!!

On October 5th, our little peanut turned 2!! She is so full of life and energy. We feel so blessed to be her mommy and daddy :)

We decorated her room the night before her birthday so that the first thing she'd see were balloons and streamers! Her face just lit up! She was so excited! She immediately got out of bed to play with the balloons covering the floor. Kicking, throwing, hitting, chewing, you name it. She did it :) Girl was in heaven.

After the wake-up-birthday-girl celebration, we headed downstairs for birthday donuts and presents. Olivia lit up yet again when she saw the kitchen decorated and her gifts on the table. I loved watching her open each gift with such enthusiasm. Almost as much enthusiasm as when she saw her very first movie in the theater just hours later.

The Lion King may very well be Olivia's new favorite movie now. From the very start, she was sucked in. We bought soda, popcorn, Red Vines, M&Ms, Skittles :) We made sure to make her first movie experience authentic. She sat on her little booster seat enjoying the movie and her goodies for all 120 minutes :)

That night, we met Olivia's grandparents and aunties at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Chevy's!! As always, it did not disappoint :) Olivia got her sombrero and ice cream sundae and a cheerful birthday song from a decent sized group of servers. She was a little weary of the group of birthday singers :) She certainly enjoyed her ice cream though!

After dinner, we went back to our house to celebrate with cake and ice cream and a few birthday songs of our own. In Steven's Clegg family, they sing about 12 songs to the birthday girl/boy. We've adopted that tradition, but changed it a bit :) We sing Happy Birthday to you, Feliz Cumpleanos a ti or Las Mananitas(espanol), and then Sto Lat(polski). Overall, it was a perfect day for our perfect princess :)

Olivia, here are a few things that you're up to now that you're TWO :

*You know your ABCs and listening to you sing them is the cutest :)
*You can count to 10!
*Whenever we ask you to sing for us, you sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" .
*You love to dance :)
*You've been potty trained since you were almost 21 months old.
*You're no longer wearing pull ups at night :)
*You LOVE Brody!!
*You say the sweetest prayers. They typically sound something like this, "Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, Amen."
*You enjoy reading, coloring, play-doh, dressing up, dancing, singing, riding your bike, playing at the park, riding on the carousel.
*Your favorite foods are: cereal, chocolate chip pancakes, eggs with ketchup, strawberries, yogurt, quesadillas, grapes, angel hair pasta with alfredo sauce, and anything sweet. You're certainly not the healthiest little munchkin :) Thank goodness for gummy vitamins!
*Your favorite movies are: Cars, Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast and Tangled.
*You're talking so much nowadays. Some of my favorite things that you say are:
*I love you, Mommy/Daddy/Brody.
*My car/pajamas/shirt/arm/shoes... you like to point out what belongs to you :)
*Mommy/Daddy's phone/bag/shirt/shoes... you like to point out what belongs to us :)
*I hungry.
*I see the moon! (You say this whenever you see the moon, day or night.)
*A wipe, please! (You shout this once you're done going potty.)
*Away, please. (You say this when you want privacy when you're going potty.)
*What's that!?
*A ghost!! (You say this at Grandpa's house about the sculpture from Poland.)
*Nie ma. (You say this when you're finished eating or when something is gone.)
*A pee pee more. (You say this when you need to go pee :)
You talk all the time and you're starting to vocalize what you observe. It's adorable when you point out that something is small or soft or loud or funny or pretty. I just love you to pieces!!
